Federal Maritime Commission
OTI licensing for forwarders and NVOCCs, compliance audits, Shipping Act complaints and penalty defense.
The Federal Maritime Commission regulates the U.S. international ocean transportation system. It licenses ocean transportation intermediaries (freight forwarders and NVOCCs), polices carrier and intermediary practices under the Shipping Act, assesses penalties, and adjudicates complaints. The firm has represented shippers, forwarders, NVOCCs and carriers before the Commission for decades, and Neil Mooney ran an NVOCC himself.

A call or an email costs nothing and gives an attorney the facts of your matter. We will tell you the fee, or the fee options, before any work begins. Some matters are hourly, some flat fee, and currency seizures are contingency.
